I'm going to lay this all out before there's any misunderstanding. I've never been a huge fan of the Wu-Tang Clan. There, I said it.
Their raw and underproduced sound is cool, but the creativity, besides their lyrics (although overrated), is not there.
The same applies to Raekwan, GZA, RZA, and the sellout, Method Man. Although, I will agree that the RZA's involvement in
the soundtrack for "Kill Bill" was outstanding!
Ghostface, on the otherhand, is fairly good.
Each album has a few standout tracks that really impress me. The problem is, half of the album could
be thrown out. The Wu-Tang Clan tends to over do everything. It appears that when they find something that they believe is cool and artistic, they push the idea too far
and it gets old and repetative. That is where Ghostface falls short. The lyrics are nothing special (crude, violent, arrogant), but the production is
superior than most of Wu-Tang's meterial. Over all it's a fairly creative album as was his previous album, Supreme Clientele.
